Why Choose Argo

More than a liveaboard.

Argo isn’t about polished luxury or following a standard itinerary. She’s about capability, flexibility and access.

Designed for extended adventures in some of Australia’s most remote and remarkable waters, Argo combines a capable expedition vessel, experienced crew and the freedom to create a journey around where you want to go and what you want to experience.

Go further, stay longer and experience more.

Premium Vessel

With accommodation for up to 18 guests, extensive fuel and water capacity, three purpose-built tenders and the ability to remain self-sufficient for extended periods, Argo allows our guests and charter partners to spend more time where they actually want to be, on the water and exploring.

Our charters can range from relaxed private adventures to complex multi-day expeditions involving remote locations, multiple tenders, diving, fishing, research activities and shore-based operations.

Expert Crew

Our crew brings practical marine experience and an understanding of what it takes to operate safely and effectively in remote northern Australian waters.

We believe a great expedition comes down to more than the vessel. It requires good planning, capable people, local knowledge and the flexibility to adapt to conditions along the way.

Where appropriate, we also work with local operators, Traditional Owners, guides and communities, particularly when operating in culturally significant and remote areas such as the Torres Strait.

Custom Plans

No two Argo expeditions need to look the same.

We work directly with private groups, fishing and diving operators, tourism businesses, researchers, organisations and charter partners to develop itineraries around what they actually need.

Argo can operate as your liveaboard, mothership, research platform, floating accommodation or expedition base, giving you the freedom to build something well beyond a conventional boat charter.

Remote Capability

Argo is built to go further. With extended range, substantial fuel and water capacity, onboard desalination and the ability to remain self-sufficient for up to 21 days, we can access remote destinations well beyond the usual charter routes.

From the Great Barrier Reef and Coral Sea to Cape York and the Torres Strait, Argo gives you the freedom to explore extraordinary places that few get to experience.
